Entry #1- David

Hi hi! I'm David, last name Lao. I am Chinese and I was born here in Seattle on January 4, 1985, and have lived here all my life. I changed schools a lot though. I was first in the regular program at school until 4th grade and then I went to a program called Spectrum which is a bit more advanced supposedly, then in 6th grade I went to the program know as APP and that's where I met Mog. I am really conservative and would like to be more pragmatic. My favorite foods are hamburgers, pizza, ribs, sushi, be beem bop (Korean rice dish), and most Chinese food.
I have many hobbies in life, the hobby which I have done the longest is Chinese calligraphy which I have been doing for 6 years. Chinese calligraphy is a very old Chinese art form. Scholars in China are very good at it, as for me, I'm a novice I guess. Maybe someday Mog will scan some of my calligraphy for this site. It is a really beautiful art form that takes a great deal of skill, it is written with a brush made of wolf hair. Anyway, another thing I enjoy is Gundam Wing. I have only started to watch the anime, but I really enjoy it, I have built a few models as well. I am planning on getting some posters of it for my room. I enjoy the music from Gundam too. My favorite character in it is Wufei. A third hobby of mine is playing Street Fighter. I love this game. I play it as much as possible and practice a lot, in my opinion, it's the best fighting game ever made. My favorite music is J-pop, but I also enjoy Chinese pop and Korean pop.
School is pretty cool. I presently go to Garfield High School with Mog. I'm a freshman. It's an okay school. My classes, from first to last are, gym, language arts, math, biology, world history, and then French. I enjoy gym, it's nice to exercise in the morning. Language arts is a pretty cool class, my best friend's in it. Then comes math which I hate because my teacher is a complete idiot, but this is a class I have with Mog so I have a lot of fun in it. Biology is pretty good, there's this girl I like in that class, I doubt I'll ever get the courage to talk to her though. World history is my favorite class. The teacher is great, I really look up to him as a role model. French is just a waste of good time, the teacher who is like 60 years old likes to dress in really revealing clothes and it is just nasty.
I have many friends, but three close ones. My best friend is named Eric Miller, he and I have been best friends ever since 7th grade, we met in language arts. He's a really nice guy and he's the funniest person I know. And of course, Mog is one of my good friends as well, we are almost best friends, I talk to him almost everyday. He is one of the nicest guys I know. I have known him since 6th grade. He was in my second period gym, I remember we would talk a lot. And the final one of my close friends is James Kuo, he lives a few blocks from me and I have known him since 5th grade. He is really, really smart, probably the smartest guy I know.
I have only a few pet peeves. I hate people who are messy with things, I like everything to have its place, like binders for school, they should be neat, and a person's desk, that should be neat too. My second pet peeve is laziness, I hate it when people don't like to work. It's just annoying to watch people waste away their lives doing nothing. And my final pet peeve is bad treatment of girls. I hate it when guys refer to girl as "hot" or "babe". Personally I think girls should be treated with more respect than that. I usually call girls "gorgeous" or "knockouts". But I don't really talk to girls that often.
